in the case of mr.Hyde i would defend him. because he is not all mr.Hyde he is dr.Jekyll as well so that might give him an advantage so its like saying if mr.hyde goes to jail then dr.Jekyll goes to jail as well. you cant realy defend him that well cause he still killed a man a member of parlement no less.
Elias,
ReplyDeleteFirst remember that all expectations for good writing apply to your blogging as well. Please put more effort into maintaining the rules for punctuation, capitalization, and grammar in your blog posts.
For this writing assignment you must understand that you are to write from the point of view of an attorney speaking directly to the jury (Victorian citizens) trying to convince them that Hyde is not guilty (as per your choice above). Just as with any other writing, you need to craft an introductory and closing statement that is both powerful and captivating. The middle of your writing/speech should reveal your reasons for Hyde's innocence (separated by paragraphs). Inside each body paragraph remember that you need to fully support the reasons by recalling all of the evidence, witnesses, and other facts that help prove your point of view. Try watching some courtroom TV dramas or view some youtube clips of courtroom closing statements in order to get a feel for the language and phrases that are common in this type of writing/speech. This will help to give your writing authenticity.
